TrustedPros ("we," "our," or "the app") is a mobile application that helps users find local service professionals. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Location Data
When you use the auto-detect feature, the app requests access to your device's location. Your coordinates are sent to Google's Geocoding API solely to identify your city and state. TrustedPros does not store your location on any server.
Search Queries
When you search for a service, your search query and location text are sent to Google's Places API to return nearby results. Your recent searches are saved locally on your device only for convenience and are never transmitted to TrustedPros servers.
Saved Favorites
Businesses you save as favorites are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to any server.
Quote Requests
When you submit a quote request, you provide your name, phone number, and a description of the job. This information is stored securely in our database and shared with the specific business you contacted. It is not shared with any other party.
Messages
Messages you send to a business through the app are stored securely in our database and delivered to that business. Messages are not shared with any other party.
Reviews
If you submit a review for a business, your display name, star rating, and review text are stored in our database and displayed publicly within the app on that business's profile.
Business Signups
If you sign up as a business owner, you provide your business name, owner name, phone number, email address, city, and service category. This information is stored securely in our database and used solely to manage your TrustedPros listing.
TrustedPros uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
Quote requests, messages, and reviews are retained in our database to facilitate communication between users and businesses. Business signup data is retained for as long as the business maintains a listing. You may contact us to request deletion of your data at any time.
TrustedPros is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
